Safety & Security
CCTV & Surveillance Systems:
- CCTV (closed-circuit television) is a TV system in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for surveillance and security purposes. CCTV relies on strategic placement of cameras, and of the camera's input on monitors somewhere.
- A CCTV (closed-circuit television) system allows the use of video cameras to monitor the interior and exterior of a property, transmitting the signal to a monitor or set of monitors.
- A CCTV system consists of a camera, lens, monitor and recorder. The camera/cameras pick up the images, which are then transmitted to a recording device and then a monitor.
Access Control & Intruder Alarm Systems
Access control systems are the electronic systems that are designed to control through a network and they should have an access to a network. Access Control System recognizes authenticates and authorizes entry of a person to enter into the premise thereby giving complete protection ensuring security with the system.
Three Types of Access Control:
- Role-based Access Control (RBAC),
- Discretionary Access Control (DAC),
- Mandatory Access Control (MAC)
Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
- The basic purpose of an automatic fire detection & alarm system is to detect a fire in its early stages, notify the building occupants that there is a fire emergency and report the emergency to first responders.
- A fire detection & alarm system has a number of devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are present. ... Alarms can be either motorized bells or wall mountable sounders or horns and strobe siren.
Fire Detection & Suppression Systems
- Fire Suppression systems such as FM 200 Clean agent, automatic sprinklers act to control the fire detected by the Fire Detection & Alarm systems.
- Waterless fire suppression systems work by releasing a gas or mixture of gasses into the air, generally with the aim of reducing the amount of oxygen in the air that feeds the flames. The clean agent, such as FM 200, CO2, is often stored a distance away from the area it will be protecting.
All smoke detectors sound an alarm, when they identify smoke, to notify a building's occupants. The Four Types of Fire Detectors
- Ionisation.
- Photoelectric
- Combination Ionisation/Photoelectric
- Heat
